  1. Importing shopping lists

Shopping list from other sources: I have an app for my recipes and it produces shopping lists from the recipes that I choose and that's not so great because I end up with two separate lists, one for my recipe that needs comparing to my pantry stock or my Prep&Pantry shopping list and my pantry list. If I could easily add that list to my pantry-shopping list, it would be great.

  2. I would like to see a way to view inventory turns. How much of a particular item do I use/need per year?

Am I over, or under, stocked on a particular item ( or group if that is incorporated into the app)? It would help with perishable calculations, that could lead to integration with the "configurable expiration notification" if incorporated.

I've said it a few times, GREAT APP! Keep up the good work.

I’m willing to look into this but I am not sure what the best approach would be. Are we talking about just having an exportable history. An in-app bar chart showing item usage over a period of time with, say, the top 20 items? Give me some ideas in the comments section or through the support email.

Total calories will be available with the CSV report as of version 3.5. A new feature, item groups, will be introduced in this version. I will look into showing calories by group at this point.

This will start being rolled out in version 3.5 (ios). The latest price will be provided in the CSV report and you’ll be able to create a report from there.

  5. Desktop version (Updated)

More than just a web portal, this is a stand-alone version of Prep & Pantry for your Mac or Windows PC.

Update 18 Dec 2014: As of today, the current release of Prep & Pantry for Android v1(989) officially supports the Gennymotion desktop emulator! I was able to fix a bug that was causing it to hang on start-up. The how-to in the knowledgebase details the installation.

I've tested this and it works. You can even use your webcam to scan the barcodes. This will also work with the CT-10 scanner hooked up to your PC.

    This release might also…

Yet another update, but it’s a good one! As of today, the current release of Prep & Pantry for Android officially supports the Gennymotion desktop emulator! I was able to fix a bug that was causing it to hang on start-up. The how-to in the knowledgebase details the installation. This might also fix the problem with P&P running on Bluestacks, could someone this confirm for me?

  6. Place items into groups and have a group total quantity list.

For example: pizza. What is the total quantity of pizzas on-hand? Not just Brand X or Brand Y. Add Brand Z pizza to the inventory, add it to the 'pizza' group, track the total number of pizzas on hand.

  7. Configurable expiration notification.

By default, Prep & Pantry notifies you of items that are already expired. Making this configurable will let people to change the notification to let you know when items will expire in x number of days. e.g. 7 days.
